38 Indonesian sellers showcase the destination at “Indonesia Sales Mission” in Chandigarh

To expand Indonesia’s tourism outreach beyond SATTE, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia (MOTCE), organized a successful Sales Mission in Chandigarh on February 26, 2024.

The one-day event brought together 38 Indonesian sellers, around 80 travel agents, and media representatives from Chandigarh and its surrounding regions. Participants engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at fostering tourism ties between Indonesia and India.

Her Excellency Ina Krisnamurthi, hosting the event, conveyed her remarks through Hanafi, the Minister Counsellor for Social & Cultural Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, New Delhi. She emphasized the importance of the recently established direct flights between India and Indonesia, encouraging businesses to capitalize on these connections to enhance tourist flows between the two nations.

Additionally, Her Excellency highlighted the significant milestone of the 75th anniversary of India-Indonesia Diplomatic Relations. This milestone, marked by the introduction of several direct flights, presents a great opportunity for both countries to strengthen their bilateral relations, particularly through increased people-to-people exchanges.
