Sporting more than a decade of experience in the sector, Asar has earned a reputation as a virtuoso in the culinary world and is ready to bring his wealth of expertise to the vibrant beachside of Seminyak.
Starting as a restaurant general manager, sommelier, and the immediate past director of food and beverage at Delano Hotel Dubai, Asar gained industry recognition and sharpened his skills to excellence.
In 2009, he was the youngest maitre d’ and sommelier at the Parkheuvel, Rotterdam, a stellar restaurant with three Michelin Stars.
He soon earned the title of Sommelier of the Year in 2014 from an esteemed Middle Eastern award-giving body, and his deep love for food and wine brought him to be recognised for the LQA Outstanding Employee Award.
Notably, he was also the recipient of the Hotel & Catering 40 F&B All-stars in 2023 during his duty as the group director of operations at KATA, an award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant in Dubai.
Beyond his culinary expertise, Asar is a polyglot who has mastered five languages: Dutch, French, Turkish, English, and German.
His passion for travel and gastronomy inspired him to write the book Gastheer & Sommelier Halil Asar’s Road Trip which took readers on a culinary road trip through Europe.
