Aviation analytics firm Cirium presents flight data on the Easter Weekend and the Easter school holiday below.
Cirium Data – Easter Holidays
- Over the Easter school holidays 2025, there will be 50,613 flights departing from UK airports - equating to over nine million seats
- The most popular destination from the UK will be Dublin, with 2,021 flights, followed by Amsterdam, Malaga, Alicante and Palma
- Heathrow will be the busiest airport over the school holidays, with 12,093 departures, followed by Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted.
- easyJet is projected to be the busiest airline throughout the holidays, with 10,276 departures from the UK, followed by British Airways and Ryanair
Cirium Data – Easter Weekend
- During the Easter weekend 2025, 11,282 flights are scheduled to depart UK airports – equating to over two million seats
- Easter Friday is projected to be the busiest day for UK departures during the weekend, with 2,949 flights taking off from UK airports
- Easter departures from UK airports remain 4% down compared to the Easter weekend in 2019 when there were 11,743 departing flights
- Departures are up 6% compared to Easter 2024, showing the continued recovery of the industry
- The most popular international destination for UK departures will be Dublin, followed by Amsterdam, Malaga, Alicante and Mallorca
- Heathrow Airport will see the largest number of departures, 2,680, followed by Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted.
