WorldTicket expands IATA BSP network to Armenia

WorldTicket by GO7 has expanded its presence in the Caucasus region by launching its services in Armenia through the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP). This development allows IATA-accredited travel agents in Armenia to sell, issue, and settle W2 tickets in Armenian dram using their existing BSP setup, with instant ticketing and no additional configuration required.

This expansion follows recent launches in Brazil and Uruguay and is part of WorldTicket by GO7's strategy to enhance global airline connectivity. Peer Winter, Chief Distribution Officer at GO7, highlighted the significance of this move, stating, “Bringing W2 into BSP Armenia completes our network across the Caucasus region, alongside BSP Georgia and Azerbaijan, giving our partners greater access to a region that connects Europe and Asia.”

WorldTicket by GO7 enables agencies to sell flights from over 150 airlines through their usual Global Distribution System (GDS) workflow. This allows agents to combine flights from multiple airlines on a single ticket and manage reporting and remittance via BSP. In Armenia, ticket sales are processed with instant ticketing via W2-365, allowing agents to book flights directly in their GDS and settle in local currency.

The entry into Armenia marks a significant step in WorldTicket by GO7's mission to simplify ticketing, settlement, and global connectivity for IATA-accredited agents worldwide. This move not only closes a gap in its regional BSP network but also opens up new opportunities for airlines to access emerging markets in the region.
