flydubai and Cyprus Airways have announced a new interline agreement aimed at enhancing international connectivity. This partnership will allow passengers to access an expanded network of destinations across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with ease.

The agreement enables customers to travel on a single itinerary with coordinated baggage handling and streamlined transfers via Dubai International Airport, a major global aviation hub. Passengers flying with Cyprus Airways from Larnaca will now have convenient one-stop access to flydubai destinations such as Almaty, Colombo, Jeddah, and Riyadh, among others.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, commented, “The new interline agreement marks an important step in enhancing connectivity and delivering greater convenience for our customers.” Thanos Pascalis, CEO of Cyprus Airways, added, “This partnership with flydubai represents an important step in Cyprus Airways’ strategic development.”

The agreement significantly boosts connectivity options for travellers from Cyprus, facilitating efficient onward connections through Dubai to key business and leisure destinations. It also enhances access to Cyprus for flydubai customers, supporting tourism and trade.

Since its inception in 2009, flydubai has launched over 100 new routes, expanding its network significantly. The airline operates a modern fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft, offering Business and Economy Class services. The interline agreement is now in effect, with bookings available through both airlines' sales channels and authorised travel partners
