Travelex has announced the expansion of its European ATM network, unveiling new machines at the Folkestone LeShuttle terminal and Berlin Brandenburg Airport. This move comes as part of a three-year contract renewal with LeShuttle and further investment in Berlin, enhancing currency access for travellers.
The expansion includes three new ATMs at the Folkestone LeShuttle Terminal, building on a decade-long partnership. These ATMs provide travellers with access to various currencies, including Euro and Swiss Franc. In Berlin, Travelex has introduced three new ATMs across key airport areas, increasing its presence to 12 ATMs and stores. These machines allow customers to withdraw up to six different currencies and access 45 currencies through online orders or in-store purchases.
Simon Jackson, Chief Customer Officer at Travelex, stated, โOur global network of new ATMs offers customers an efficient self-service channel, enabling convenient and smart access to a range of currencies. We are proud to extend our partnerships with both LeShuttle and Berlin Brandenburg Airport.โ
Travelex's international ATM estate, refreshed last year, now features over 600 machines across eight countries, equipped with innovative features like contactless cash withdrawals. Christopher Loeser from Berlin Brandenburg Airport expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the importance of offering seamless passenger experiences.
The Channel Tunnel, the sole train link between the UK and mainland Europe, serves nearly 10 million people annually, whilst Berlin Brandenburg Airport accommodates over 25 million passengers each year. This expansion underscores Travelex's commitment to enhancing travel money accessibility across Europe.
