Emirates has unveiled a series of leadership appointments effective 1 February, as part of its strategy to nurture Emirati talent for future growth. The airline announced that Majid Al Falasi, currently Manager Vietnam, will take on the role of Manager Indonesia. Wahid Albalooshi, District Manager Jeddah, will become Manager Vietnam, whilst Mohammed Alqassim, Country Manager Cambodia, will transition to District Manager Jeddah. Fahad Al Hassawi, District Manager Eastern Province, KSA, will assume the position of Country Manager Cambodia, and Sultan Bin Hadda will become Commercial Support Manager Eastern Province, KSA.
These appointments are integral to the Emirates Outstation Programme, a UAE National graduate training initiative. The programme is designed to develop future leaders in commercial operations, cargo, and airport management through comprehensive training, mentorship, and international exposure. This initiative is a key element of the Emirates Group's Emiratisation strategy, aiming to cultivate a robust pipeline of local talent for global leadership roles.
The rotations not only enhance the skill sets of the participants but also strengthen Emirates' global network. By investing in Emirati talent, Emirates is positioning itself for sustained growth and leadership in the aviation industry. The programme underscores the airline's commitment to fostering a diverse and capable leadership team that can navigate the complexities of international markets.
