flydubai launches leadership development programmes

flydubai has unveiled two new leadership development programmes aimed at accelerating internal talent growth and strengthening leadership capabilities within the organisation. These initiatives, announced on 29 January 2026, are part of flydubai's strategy to foster a high-performance, values-driven work culture.

The Executive Leadership Programme, targeting senior leaders, and the Management Training Programme for mid-level managers, are both nine-month blended learning journeys. These programmes are designed to translate strategy into business impact, with the Executive Leadership Programme involving 18 members of the executive leadership team in its first year, whilst the Management Training Programme will develop 120 managers across the organisation.

The Executive Leadership Programme focuses on enhancing strategic leadership skills, innovation capacity, and executive presence. It aims to create a standardised executive leadership culture that improves operational performance and customer experience. flydubai's CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, stated, โ€œOur people are at the heart of flydubaiโ€™s success. By investing in structured leadership development, we are building the capability needed to translate strategy into action.โ€

The Management Training Programme is designed to equip managers with skills to become performance multipliers and cultural ambassadors. It emphasises shifting mindsets from task execution to team leadership. Nasser Binkherbash, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, commented, โ€œThese programmes are designed to develop leaders at every level of the organisation.โ€

Both programmes will run annually, forming a core pillar of flydubaiโ€™s people development strategy. As flydubai enters its 17th year, the airline continues to support its growth with a workforce of over 6,700 colleagues from 144 nationalities.
