LEGOLAND Windsor unveils giant LEGO birthday cake

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has kicked off its 30th anniversary celebrations with the unveiling of a massive LEGO birthday cake, standing 13 feet tall and constructed from 200,000 LEGO bricks. The cake, featuring Windsor-themed toppers such as Minifigure Speedwayโ€™s Roxie and Miniland Londonโ€™s Skyline, was crafted by the parkโ€™s longest-serving creative duo, Paula Laughton and Paula Young, who boast a combined 55 years of LEGO artistry. The cake will be on display from 14 February, coinciding with the February half-term and the return of Brick Days.

The cake, a testament to the park's three decades of creativity and family fun, took a team of five expert model makers 1,000 hours to design and build. Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, expressed excitement about the milestone, stating, โ€œUnveiling the giant LEGO cake to open the Resort is just the start of the extraordinary celebrations we have planned throughout 2026.โ€

Paula Young, Head of Creative & Contracts, remarked on the significance of the event, saying, โ€œUnveiling this incredible cake is the perfect way to kick off our 30th birthday celebrations. Itโ€™s not just a cake; itโ€™s a joyful tribute to the memories weโ€™ve made and the adventures still to come.โ€

Since its opening in March 1996, LEGOLAND Windsor has become a beloved destination for families and LEGO enthusiasts worldwide. The giant cake is just the beginning of a series of surprises planned for the anniversary year, with the cake remaining on display until autumn. Visitors can enjoy the festivities during Brick Days from 14 to 23 February, featuring rides, new character meet and greets, live entertainment, and the 30th Birthday Brick Bash. Tickets start at $39 (ยฃ32) per person and must be pre-booked online
