Royal Jordanian Airlines has inaugurated a direct flight route between Amman and Dallas, Texas, marking its fifth destination in the United States. The service, which commenced on 10 May, will operate four times weekly, utilising Boeing Dreamliner aircraft for enhanced comfort and efficiency.
The launch event was attended by key figures including Royal Jordanian's Vice Chairman and CEO Samer Majali, US Ambassador to Jordan Jim Holtsnider, and COO of Airport International Group Marc Aubel. Majali highlighted the route as a significant addition to the airline's network, emphasising its role in bolstering economic and cultural ties between Jordan and the US. He noted, "The new route will contribute to providing a distinguished travel experience for passengers and supporting economic and cultural exchange."
This expansion aligns with Royal Jordanian's strategic plan to reach approximately 60 global destinations and expand its fleet to around 40 aircraft. The new route is also part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup in the US, with expectations of increased travel demand. Majali stated that Amman serves as a crucial transit hub for Middle Eastern passengers heading to the event.
Nicolas Deviller, CEO of Airport International Group, remarked, "The launch of the new Dallas–Fort Worth route represents an important milestone in further enhancing Jordan’s global connectivity." The service is expected to boost tourism, trade, and business opportunities, contributing to the national economy.
