IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Phuket HA 2 Co., Ltd to open a new voco hotel in Patong, Phuket, by 2028. This development marks a significant expansion of the voco brand in Thailand, following its debut in Bangkok last year and four additional properties in the pipeline.

The 307-room voco Phuket Patong will be part of the Abov Patong mixed-use development, featuring hotels, branded residences, and facilities such as a clubhouse, theatre, and multi-zone swimming pools. Situated just 150 metres from Patong Beach, the hotel will offer panoramic ocean views and easy access to local attractions.

Pathana Jitsaereetham, Director of Development for Thailand at IHG, highlighted Phuket's resurgence as a top travel destination, noting its successful high season in 2025. "Phuket's enduring charm as an island destination makes it a top choice for travellers," he said. The new hotel will join IHG's diverse portfolio in Phuket, which includes seven hotels across five brands.

Wuthikrai Kulsirisawad, CEO of Phuket HA 2 Co., Ltd, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that the voco brand's inviting atmosphere and IHG's global standards will enhance Patong's appeal as a premier destination. "This marks our first hotel project with IHG, and I look forward to building a strong long-term partnership," he added.

The signing strengthens IHG's presence in Thailand, where it now has over 80 open and signed hotels, further building on voco hotels' momentum with additional properties set to open in Bangkok and Phuket
