Crystal unveils crew recreation area on new ship

Crystal has announced the introduction of a dedicated crew recreation area aboard its newest ship, Crystal Grace, set to launch on 11 June 2028. This purpose-built space aims to enhance the well-being and social connection of crew members, reflecting Crystal's commitment to providing exceptional experiences for both guests and staff.

Located on Deck 12, the recreation area features indoor and outdoor amenities exclusively for crew members. Indoors, the space includes a gym equipped with Technogym equipment, a sundries shop, a bar, and a lounge with a 98-inch television. Outdoors, crew members can enjoy sun loungers, a jacuzzi, and a shower area. The area spans 1,582 square feet and can accommodate up to 100 crew members, with 74 seats available in the indoor social spaces.

Crystal Grace will also include two crew dining areas on Deck 3, further emphasising the company's focus on crew spaces. Cristina Levis, CEO of AKTG, stated, "Our crew consistently delivers an exceptional level of service and care, and it was important to us that Crystal Grace reflects that same standard in return."

Othmar Hehli, Director of Fleet Human Resources, added, "When designing this space, we took into consideration how our crew spend their time, what is important to them, and what contributes to their overall well-being onboard."
