Visit Qatar has announced the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Doha, set to take place from 18 to 20 March 2027 at Old Doha Port.

This marks the first time the globally recognised racing series will be held in Qatar, inviting endurance athletes and sports enthusiasts from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and beyond.

The event, organised in collaboration with the IRONMAN Group, promises a world-class racing experience against the scenic backdrop of Doha’s waterfront. The main race on 20 March will feature the traditional IRONMAN 70.3 format, including a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km cycling course, and a 21.1 km run. Additionally, the IRONKIDS race on 19 March will allow younger participants to join the excitement.

Qatar’s modern infrastructure and connectivity make it an ideal location for such an event, aiming to attract participants and visitors from across the GCC and international markets. The championship weekend will also feature fan zones, the interactive IRONMAN Village, and various community and entertainment experiences.
