TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

The Bellevue Syrene, a five-star hotel in Sorrento, Italy, has upgraded its guestroom entertainment by installing 70 Philips MediaSuite smart TVs. This move aims to enhance the guest experience by providing seamless access to popular streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV, directly from the comfort of their rooms.

Located on the cliff edge with stunning views of the Bay of Naples, Bellevue Syrene combines historical charm with contemporary luxury. The hotel, which features 51 guest rooms and suites, partnered with local integration specialist Meginet to modernise its television system. The new setup includes 4K UHD displays ranging from 43 to 65 inches, offering guests a personalised entertainment experience.

A standout feature of the Philips MediaSuite TVs is the built-in cast function, allowing guests to wirelessly share content from their personal devices to the TV. This feature, introduced in 2019, supports a variety of media, including movies, TV shows, and even business presentations. The TVs also offer access to thousands of apps and games, creating a home-like atmosphere for guests.

The installation also benefits the hotel's AV and IT teams, who can manage the display network using PPDS’ CMND platform. This system allows for remote software updates and security enhancements, reducing maintenance demands. Additionally, all TV login information is automatically deleted upon checkout, enhancing efficiency.

Claudio Napolitano, General Manager of Bellevue Syrene, stated, “When it comes to digital entertainment and information technology and communications services, we always choose partners capable of providing valuable, reliable and cutting-edge technologies.” The installation has met the expectations of hotel owners, staff, and guests, delivering a modern yet luxurious experience
