Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) is intensifying its focus on the Indian market, as demand for experiential and family travel continues to grow. From April 2025 to March 2026, visitor numbers from India increased by 8%, solidifying India's position as Sentosa's largest international source market. This growth reflects a shift in traveller behaviour, with Indian tourists showing a keen interest in celebration travel, multi-generational holidays, and immersive experiences.
According to Addison Goh, Divisional Director of Business & Experience Development at SDC, "India remains a strategically important market for Sentosa, not only because of its scale today, but because of the long-term opportunity it represents." Goh emphasised that Sentosa is shaping its offerings to cater to the evolving preferences of Indian travellers through next-generation experiences and year-round programming.
Beyond leisure tourism, Sentosa is capitalising on the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) segment, particularly among Indian corporate travellers. The island offers a unique setting with 19 hotels, over 4,000 rooms, and diverse event venues, allowing delegates to seamlessly transition from business to leisure activities.
Sentosa continues to expand its attractions, with recent additions like the Skyslides by Klook at Skypark Sentosa and a new heritage discovery game kit for MICE groups. The island's strategic location, just 15 minutes from Singapore's Central Business District, enhances its appeal to modern business travellers.
Looking ahead, SDC is advancing the Greater Sentosa Master Plan, aiming to double visitor numbers by introducing new landmarks, enhanced connectivity, and rejuvenated beaches. This long-term vision seeks to establish Sentosa as the world's best-loved island playground and sanctuary within a global city
