Internova Travel Group has unveiled an exclusive Arctic expedition as part of its Green Circle initiative, aimed at enhancing sustainable travel education for luxury travel advisers.

Collaborating with Atlas Ocean Voyages, Scandinavian Airlines, and NORDIC STAR, the programme provides advisers with firsthand experience in sustainable expedition travel, a growing segment in the luxury market.

The expedition, which took place in the Arctic, allowed advisers to explore sustainability across various aspects of travel, including expedition cruising, aviation, and destination stewardship. Highlights included discussions with Atlas Ocean Voyages on responsible operations, educational sessions on Arctic conservation, and visits to sustainability-focused hotels in Norway curated by NORDIC STAR. Additionally, advisers gained insights into Scandinavian Airlines' sustainability initiatives.

JD O'Hara, CEO of Internova Travel Group, stated, "Through Green Circle, we're investing in immersive educational experiences that give advisers a deeper understanding of sustainable travel whilst strengthening the expertise they bring to clients."

Selma Weisbein, an adviser from Global Travel Collection, reflected on the experience, saying, "Experiencing the Arctic firsthand gave me a much deeper understanding of what responsible expedition travel looks like. The knowledge and perspective I gained will help me better advise clients seeking meaningful luxury experiences."

This Arctic expedition marks the second educational journey under Internova's Green Circle initiative, reinforcing the company's commitment to integrating sustainability into adviser education and client engagement. The initiative also supports broader sustainability efforts, including carbon neutrality and contributions to UNESCO's World Heritage Programme
