The resort, a collaboration with J-Will Partners Co., Ltd., will be located amidst nine acres of forest between Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri, offering panoramic views and access to outdoor activities like skiing and golf.

The new resort will feature 165 rooms and is designed by Daiken Sekkei, Inc with interiors by Steve Leung Design Group Limited. Fairmont Niseko aims to become a landmark in the region, marking Fairmont's second property in Japan following the recent opening of Fairmont Tokyo. Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, stated, “We are honoured to play a pivotal role in bringing this incredible new resort to life whilst remaining committed to preserving Niseko’s natural environment.”

The resort's connectivity will be enhanced by the planned extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen, expected to be completed by 2038, which will link Kutchan Station to Sapporo Station in 25 minutes. Additionally, increased international flights at New Chitose Airport will support tourism growth. The hotel will offer luxury amenities, including two restaurants, a spa, a kids' club, and Onsen experiences.
