The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), alongside the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT) and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, has announced the World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 (WTCE 2026). Scheduled for 29–31 October at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani, the expo seeks to enhance tourism, trade, and investment, reinforcing Thailand's position as a key ASEAN hub.
Pasakorn Rangsiwatanasak, Secretary to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, highlighted the event's role in leveraging tourism, culture, sport, and creative industries for economic growth. "WTCE 2026 demonstrates Thailand’s commitment to harnessing these sectors as engines of economic growth," he stated.
The expo marks the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations and aligns with China's "Thousands of Sails Go to Sea" policy, promoting international expansion. TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasised the event's alignment with TAT’s "Value over Volume" strategy, focusing on meaningful experiences and sustainable tourism.
WTCE 2026 will feature five specialised expositions, including the Thailand Amusement and Attraction Parks Expo and the ASEAN LED Display, Prolight, Sound and Entertainment Technology Expo. The event builds on the success of its 2025 edition, which saw participation from 36 countries and a 98% success rate in business negotiations.
With China as Thailand’s leading international visitor market, the expo aims to convert this strength into broader partnerships. From January to July 2026, Thailand saw a 14.76% increase in Chinese arrivals, with TAT forecasting over 5.13 million Chinese visitors by year-end. WTCE 2026 is poised to be a strategic platform for enhancing regional tourism and business collaborations
