Marriott International has announced the debut of its Series by Marriott brand in New Caledonia, marking a significant expansion in the South Pacific. In collaboration with Societe Hoteliere de Noumea, three resorts—Le Domaine Déva, Le Domaine Oro, and Le Domaine Nouméa—are now part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. These resorts aim to offer a blend of local culture and global hospitality standards.
The three properties showcase New Caledonia's natural beauty and cultural diversity, featuring elements such as lagoons, beaches, and forest reserves. Cristiano Rinaldi, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer for Asia Pacific excluding China, stated, "The addition of these three distinctive resorts in New Caledonia is a significant milestone for the brand's growth in the Pacific."
Le Domaine Déva, located in Bourail, offers 120 Melanesian-inspired guestrooms and access to a UNESCO World Heritage-listed barrier reef. Le Domaine Oro, on the Isle of Pines, provides an intimate island escape with 48 guestrooms and access to the renowned Baie d’Oro lagoon. Le Domaine Nouméa, situated on Anse Vata Bay, features 207 guestrooms and is adjacent to the Grand Casino.
All properties participate in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn points and enjoy personalised experiences. Brieuc Frogier, SHN Administrator, highlighted the partnership's potential to promote New Caledonia's unique identity whilst leveraging Marriott's global expertise. This expansion is set to enhance the region's tourism appeal, offering guests a unique blend of local experiences and international hospitality
