Agoda, the digital travel platform, has announced its 2026 Repeat Visitor Ranking, with Tokyo emerging as Asia's most revisited city. Based on bookings from the first half of the year, Tokyo has overtaken Bangkok, which now ranks second. The top five is completed by Bali, Seoul, and Osaka.

The ranking highlights the allure of destinations that entice travellers to return, with Tokyo's rise attributed to its seasonal attractions, hidden neighbourhoods, and vibrant culinary scene. Bangkok maintains its appeal with wellness experiences, dining, and cultural landmarks. Bali's third-place position underscores its draw with beaches, spiritual retreats, and lush landscapes.

Japan and Vietnam are gaining popularity as repeat destinations. Fukuoka has entered the top 10 for the first time, ranking eighth, attracting visitors with its ramen culture and relaxed atmosphere. Da Nang in Vietnam has moved up to sixth place, known for its beaches, proximity to UNESCO sites, and value for money.

Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda, noted, "Asia is home to many destinations worth revisiting. Tokyo's rise and the popularity of places like Fukuoka and Da Nang show travellers are finding new reasons to return."

Agoda offers over 6 million holiday properties, 130,000 flight routes, and 300,000 activities, facilitating easy and rewarding return trips.
