Chef David Lee, famed for his Netflix-acclaimed restaurant Guunmong in Seoul, will join forces with The Steak House at Regent Hong Kong for a unique culinary event on 5 and 6 November 2026. This exclusive collaboration with the Hanwoo Association will feature a five-course dinner centred around Hanwoo, Korea's native cattle breed, celebrated for its marbling and sweetness.
The menu, a fusion of Korean and Hong Kong culinary traditions, will begin with The Steak House’s Sustainable Alaskan King Crab Salad and Avocado Taco. Chef Lee’s Yook Hwei on Brioche will follow, offering a refined take on Korean beef tartare. The main course will showcase two expressions of Hanwoo: Chef Lee’s Galbi-Marinated Hanwoo 1++ Ribeye Steak and The Steak House’s Hanwoo 1++ Ribeye Cap with Glazed Heirloom Carrot.
Chef Lee, known as the "Meat Gangster," brings his expertise from a two-Michelin-starred kitchen in New York and his Seoul-based restaurant. "This collaboration is about the joy of cooking and sharing a memorable meal," he said. Chef Amine Errkhis of The Steak House added, "Our shared menu offers two distinct yet complementary expressions of Hanwoo."
The event is supported by the Hanwoo Association, which promotes Hanwoo as a national cultural symbol. The dinner, priced at $280 (HK$2,188) per person, includes an optional wine pairing for $88 (HK$688). Reservations are required for a minimum of two guests
