Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP), the charitable arm of the global travel company Abercrombie & Kent, has announced a record-breaking year in 2025, raising $3.3 million to support 80 projects worldwide. The 2025 Global Impact Report highlights AKP's commitment to creating sustainable benefits for local communities through projects in education, healthcare, conservation, and enterprise development. Executive Director Keith Sproule noted, "2025 was a landmark year for A&K Philanthropy," emphasising the organisation's dedication to fostering long-term change alongside partner communities.
Key achievements include feeding 7,288 children daily through school lunch programmes in Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, and Zambia, a 15% increase from 2024. Additionally, $800,000 worth of medical equipment was delivered to health facilities in Uganda and Zambia, and 6,464 students gained access to clean drinking water through the Safe Water for Schools Initiative.
Among the featured projects, AKP partnered with the Nueva Arica community in the Peruvian Amazon to develop sustainable enterprises, and funded a new library in Kenya's Maasai Mara, enhancing literacy for 440 students. In Jordan, a mosaic training programme empowered 40 young women with entrepreneurial skills.
