Akasa Air has launched direct flights connecting Gwalior with Delhi, marking a significant expansion in its domestic network. The flight departed from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport at 11:50 hrs and arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 13:10 hrs.
The launch event at Gwalior Airport featured a ceremonial lamp lighting and a cake-cutting ceremony, attended by local dignitaries and Akasa Air representatives. The first passenger was honoured with a special boarding pass.
Akasa Air, known for its customer-friendly services and tech-led approach, offers a range of amenities including ample legroom, USB ports for device charging, and an onboard meal service called Café Akasa. The new route will operate thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with flights departing Delhi at 09:20 hrs and returning from Gwalior at 11:50 hrs. Akasa Air, which has served over 27 million passengers since its inception in August 2022, continues to expand its reach with 26 domestic and seven international destinations.
