easyJet to trial allocated seating

easyJet has announced it is to trial allocating seatingon selected routes next spring. On the flights all passengers will be given aseat, with front row seats and extra leg-room seats available to buy inadvance.
“This isanother example of easyJet trying to do all it can to make travel easy and affordablefor our passengers. We look forward to seeing how our passengers respond andhow the trial works,” Carolyn McCall, CEO of easyJet said on its blog. “We willroll it out further only if it works operationally, from a revenue perspectiveand increases passenger satisfaction. If it doesn’t, we won’t”.
Meanwhile, thelow-cost carrier has renewed its distribution agreement with Amadeus afterseeing its corporate passengers increase by one million last year. More thannine million corporate travellers are thought to have travelled with theairline and its GDS will now include the Amadeus Ticketless Access product.
