About the Opportunity
Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is seeking a motivated and highly enthusiastic individual looking for an exciting chance to join the Australian (Oz) Product and Global Air Finance Team as an Accountant. The Oz Product Finance team works across key areas of the business including Product Operations, Global Air Supply and Distribution, Insurance and AVMIN Air Charter.
The Oz Product Accountant is a key member of the finance team and supports the Financial Controller in ensuring robust financial control, managing the financial risk and preparation of accurate and timely management and financial reports. This includes consolidation and tracking of financial performance, coordination of budgets and forecasts, financial reporting (including Head Office Reporting Pack), and analysis of results and key metrics along with variance analysis.
What You Will Be Doing:
Month end, half year and year end reporting
Budgeting and forecasts
Distribution, analysis and interpretation of financial results
Application of risk framework and implementation of adequate controls
Balance sheet reconciliations
Ability to comprehend complex transactions to identify inconsistencies and inefficiencies
Provide commercial support to Operational leaders
Process improvement projects
About You:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Finance role
Relevant degree/qualification
CA/CPA completed or in progress
Strong technical ability and financial acumen
Intermediate to advanced Excel
Effective time management and communication
