About the OpportunityDiscova is looking for an Education Travel Operation Executive to join the team in Siem Reap, Cambodia. You will lead Discova Education Travel sales strategy to be accurately and efficiently. You will implement Discova Education Travel project and product criteria for new business development with highly knowledgeable on unique selling points, project management, facilitation, and community network. And able to apply three main purpose of Discova Education Travel: Win-Win-Win, Transparency, Inspiration. You will need to have a strong leadership skill highly effective in engaging and influencing people, getting them involved in continuous improvement programs to help us drive sustainable growth and probability at Discova.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Sales team with new business opportunities and enquiries in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner
Ensure all bookings, passenger details, logistic information, internal notes and supplier notes updated on the system in an accurate and timely manner
Communicate timely and accurate information on projects (brief/work breakdown structure/evaluation) to enhance overall internal / external customer satisfaction
Ensure bookings run within budget and implement initiatives with objective of reduce Cost of Goods Sold and improve trip profitability
Plan, implement and evaluate Discova Education Travel projects and activities in accordance with Project Criteria and Project Cycle.
Develop and maintain superior working relationship with partner communities, local agencies, and authorities to facilitate Discova Education Travel project development and management
Accompany Discova Education Travel groups as required to develop and maintain superior working relationship with external customer leaders (teachers, supervisors, etc)
Plan, conduct and assess educational activities that allow external customers achieve learning objectives (debrief, reflection, leadership, teamwork, simulation games, research, exploration)
Plan, conduct and assess community-based activities that allow external customers to integrate with the host community / organization (song & dance night, cultural activities, discussions, Q&A, games)
Represent Discova Education Travel Team as key point-of-contact for local NGO & Community-based stakeholders (host communities, national tourism authorities, district authorities, etc.)
Conduct local NGO & Community-based meetings and discussions (tourism activity planning and development)
About you:The Essentials:
Travel industry experience (2+ years preferred)
Fluent in written and verbal in both Khmer language and English.
Computer skills including fluency in Microsoft Office
First aid skills
Able to travel frequently, often in uncomfortable rural/outdoor environment
Able to work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and outside office hours when required
