Product Nation Accountant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and vibrant finance team in the travel industry.
Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking the next step in their accounting career – building on their existing experience and knowledge and either looking to start or continue their CPA or CA qualification.
In this role you would be joining our Product division, appropriately named – Product Nation. Product Nation is made up of a group of businesses responsible for ensuring the best product is delivered to the market and made available in the most efficient and effective way possible.
Reporting to the Product Nation Finance Manager your main responsibilities include:
Key responsibility is the management of Ticket Centre and the other Product Nation financial and management accounts
Responsible for meeting key month end, year end and budget deadlines of Ticket Centre and other Product Nation Accounts
Ensuring that the areas of financial risk to the business are minimised
Proactively manage the preparation, processing and distribution of comprehensive reporting
Understanding the key indicators and therefore performance of the Ticket Centre and other Product Nation businesses
Provide effective support, motivation and guidance to the Business leaders and evaluate commercial opportunities to improve performance gains
Provide coaching to employees while reinforcing high standards in regards to performance, safety, customer service and adherence to company values.
What we’re looking for:
Someone who has started or eager to start their CPA or CA qualification
2 year experience in a finance related role
General understanding of accounting practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritise work and manage stakeholder expectations
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to use common sense
Enjoys working part of a team to achieve common goals and is eager to participate in team celebrations and activities
