Flybe has launched its summer schedule, consisting of 168 routes and more than 3,500 flights per week.
The expanded schedule features 41 new routes including those continuing from winter and operating for the first time this summer. All but five of these new routes link the UK regions to mainland Europe, and sees the introduction of the airline’s first two intra-European services from Hannover.
With a brand new base having just opened at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, from where Flybe will operate seven brand new routes, the schedule also features new routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London City, Manchester, Norwich and Southampton airports including four operating under the UK Government’s Regional Air Connectivity Fund.
Flybe also continues to offer one of the most comprehensive schedules to and from regional France with 37 routes, including 13 that are new this summer, offering a total choice of up to 298 flights a week. A highlight features three new routes to Paris Charles de Gaulle from Doncaster Sheffield, London City and Southampton airports.
Football fans from Wales and Northern Ireland wanting to watch their national teams play in the EURO 2016 matches in France are also well catered for with special ‘pop up’ flights in June and July from Cardiff and Belfast City to Bordeaux, Toulon and Lyon, Toulouse and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
In addition, Flybe’s upgraded jet service has started operating the popular multi-frequency service between Newquay and London Gatwick under the Government’s upgraded PSO agreement.
