Hertz offers mobile Wi-Fi units in NZ
Hertz has introduced a new mobile Wi-Fi rental service for its customers in New Zealand.
In a first for the New Zealand car rental industry, Hertz now offers portable mobile Wi-Fi units at its airport locations in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.
Offering in partnership with New Zealand telecoms company iDataroam, the 3G portable units cost NZ$12.95 (US$9.80) per day, and Hertz says they will reduce global roaming data charges by up to 90%.
The battery-powered units offer up to five hours of mobile usage and a daily data limit of 150MB. They can be recharged from a standard power outlet or in a car while travelling.
