IndiGo, India's leading airline, has launched a new fare option called 'IndiGo Lite' for Economy Class passengers, offering greater flexibility and control over travel expenses. Available from 1 July 2026 for travel starting 15 July 2026, this entry-level fare is designed for customers travelling with only cabin baggage. It can be booked exclusively through IndiGo's website, mobile app, and contact centre.

The IndiGo Lite fare provides a lower base price with an auto-assigned seat at no extra cost and a cabin bag allowance of up to 7 kg. Passengers can personalise their journey by adding optional services such as check-in baggage, preferred seating, meals, and priority services like Fast Forward, up to one hour before departure. Additionally, travellers will continue to earn and redeem IndiGo BluChip points, maintaining access to the airline's loyalty programme benefits.

Aloke Singh, Chief Strategy Officer at IndiGo, stated, “At IndiGo, we continuously evolve our product offerings to stay aligned with the changing expectations of our diverse customer segments. Designed for customers who travel light and would like to pay only for the services they need, IndiGo Lite is another step towards building a strong, fit-for-purpose product portfolio.”

This new fare option expands IndiGo's 6E Ways to Fly portfolio, which includes Saver, Flexi Plus, IndiGo UpFront, IndiGoStretch, and Stretch+. It empowers customers to choose the combination that best suits their travel preferences, comfort, and budget. IndiGo continues to operate over 2,100 daily flights, connecting more than 95 domestic and 40 international destinations
