Israel Tourism Ministry engages with India at MILT Congress

The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) made a notable return to the MICE & Leisure Travel Congress (MILT) on 23–24 July at ITC Grand in Goa, after more than five years. The Ministry's participation underscored its commitment to the Indian travel market, engaging with over 50 corporates to promote Israel's MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and leisure offerings.

During the two-day event, IMOT conducted pre-scheduled B2B meetings and networking sessions, focusing on Israel's diverse tourism offerings, including culinary and wellness tourism. The discussions aimed to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Israel's infrastructure, supported by approximately 200 Level 1 and Level 2 hotels offering around 36,000 upscale rooms, positions it well to host incentive groups and business events.

Amruta Bangera, Marketing Director for IMOT in India, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, "Participating in the 13th MILT Congress marks an important milestone for the Israel Ministry of Tourism as we continue to strengthen our engagement with the Indian travel trade." She expressed optimism about restoring Indian visitor numbers to pre-COVID levels.

The Ministry's efforts at the MILT Congress are part of a broader strategy to enhance destination awareness and confidence in Israel as a travel destination for Indians. As the tourism sector recovers, IMOT is keen to collaborate with the Indian travel industry to boost awareness and attract more Indian visitors to Israel
