One of the latest additions to the ITB Asia experience is a dedicated area for travel experiences and attractions for all ages.
The inaugural Experience Zone at the event features attractions offered by three major players in Singapore's experiential tourism scene: Disney Adventure, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and the revitalised Resorts World Sentosa.
Interestingly enough, these brands offer a broad spectrum to travellers ranging from excellent accommodations and exquisite escapes, to family fun both on the ground and on the high seas.
The beauty of this new addition to ITB's growing range of in-venue showcases is that it covers immersive tourism, hospitality, as well as sustainability.
Something for everyone
While this year's section appears to be more of a microcosm of what experiential tourism can be, it does let participants see much potential for a dedicated experience space.
What one sees at the three showcases occupying the zone is augmented by talks at the Knowledge Theatre on the same floor on the revitalisation of the Singapore Oceanarium, the conservation efforts at Mandai, even the way Resorts World is going towards improvements to its Adventure Zone.
There is much to learn on the part of travel buyers who will tout these attractions to their respective markets, while industry peers could gain inspiration for the development of their own slew of experiences.
What comes next
With the signing of a memorandum of understanding between ITB organiser Messe Berlin and TripAdvisor yesterday, 15th October, the next edition for Asia's biggest travel trade event will see the introduction of a dedicated Experience Pavilion.
This new attraction will not just cover cruises, family fun, and adventure tourism, but is intends to cater to a much broader spectrum of experiential offerings.
What delegates may see at ITB Asia 2026 will run the gamut from health and wellness, gastronomy, luxury, possibly even sports.
By doing so, ITB Asia will offer delegates more options, literally opening a world of endless experiences for travellers of any stripe to enjoy.
