Head of Commercial – City Tours and Attractions – Up to £80k + bonus London/Remote. An excellent opportunity to join this entrepreneurial and experiential city tours operator with ambitions to scale their business in the years ahead. The role can be fully remote, with some international travel required, although close proximity to London where other senior Execs are based would be an advantage.
Head of Commercial Responsibilities
- With responsibility for product and sales, you will lead on the global commercial strategy to ensure an aggressive growth plan for the business to become leaders in their field for both existing and new markets.
- Building out the market expansion plan, assessing data and the market to map out new vertical markets, destinations and categories to activate growth.
- Own the trade distribution strategy, nurturing key partners such as OTA’s, tour operators, DMC’s and tourism boards.
- Own the product roadmap, ensuring profitability, scale and quality
- Manage inventory strategy, pricing and yield management processes to maximise profitability
- Work with marketing, technology and ecommerce partners (OTA’s) to ensure product has maximum exposure and sales success
- P&L management of commercial division
Head of Commercial Skills Required
- A minimum of 5 years senior level commercial experience in the travel industry, preferably in the activities and experiences sector
- Solid geographical knowledge of both Europe and North America
- Highly analytical with numerical skill set
- Experience in a start up / scale up or high growth business, comfortable executing at speed and utilising data in an entrepreneurial way.
- Experience working with OTA’s and operating in an ecommerce capacity
- Experience leading and motivating small teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Head of Commercial Additional Details
- A competitive salary up to £80,000 depending on experience + bonus target of 25%
- Remote working although close proximality to London where the COO is based would be an advantage
- Flexibility for international travel
