Are you an EXPERT in Operational Management & Logistics with experience in the Travel industry leading a diverse team in a fast-paced environment?
Destination Asia is hiring a Head of Operations – Thailand to lead our Operations team. This person will lead and be directly responsible for all aspects of DA operations division across Thailand with day to day accountability for service delivery excellence. This includes ensuring that all operational services (such as transfers, tours, and other deliverables) occur on time, without error or delay, and that these services meet agreed SLAs.
This person will have direct responsibility for the sourcing and contracting of commercial products, suppliers and services. They will also source, train and manage a team of logistical and administrative experts ensuring operational excellence is delivered.
Head of Operations-Thailand is expected to work closely with Customer Service Delivery, Product, Business Development and Reservations & Quotations as this function is responsible for driving operational efficiency.
In addition to the above we require the following:
Prior experience in the Travel or Tourism Industry
At least 5 years’ experience in a management position in an operational/service delivery role within a multicultural/multinational organization.
Requires strong leadership and proven training and coaching experience.
Detailed destination and product knowledge of Thailand or South East Asia.
In depth knowledge of the functioning of all units within a DMC from an operational perspective with experience in dealing with FIT, MICE, Leisure and Cruise markets.
To be the champion for change by implementing a modern, lean, technology driven back office operations environment and culture.
Be available 24/7 (via mobile phone) in an emergency. Experience in crisis management advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Thai language will be an advantage though not mandatory).
