Regional General Manager UK&I – UK Escorted Tours – Remote with regular travel. A fantastic opportunity to work for a global travel business that offer escorted tours inbound the the UK and Ireland, where you will be responsible for overseeing their operations, suppliers and product across the UK and Ireland.

Regional General Manager Responsibilities

You will be responsible leading a team of around 9 spread accross the UK&I who themselves have teams of field based Trip Leaders / Tour Guides delivering their tours. You will be responsible for the regional budget and cost management, provide emergency support in any crisis situations, driving service and operational standards. You will also work with regional teams and head office on the development of new programs, improving existing ones and managing relationships with vendors such as hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Regional General Manager Skills Required

• 5 -10 years experience managing the regional division of an international travel business / tour operator of travel
• A track record of driving team performance
• Experience managing and negotiating with vendors / suppliers
• Ability to drive product quality, operational improvements and cost management
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Knowledge of the UK and Ireland tourism sector
• Flexible to travel around the UK&I up to 40% of the time and occasionally internationally

Regional General Manager Package

Salary on offer is between £55,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
