GCS Recruitment are searching for a Senior QA Engineer to work with one of the leading, international software companies located in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing system requirements specification, features descriptions, holding discussions with responsible Product Manager and developer, and presenting test scenarios
• Using Test Management Tool to develop manual test scripts and to generate the QA metrics
• Manual execution of functional testing, regression testing and non-functional testing, including stress, performance and load testing, related to test plans and test projects
• Reporting issues identified in the bug-tracking tool and ensuring these are assigned and resolved
• Verification of fixes on pre-production and production environments
• Assisting in creation of test plans, defining regression testing for mastered area
• Constantly working on regression testing improvement
• Providing test reports to management

Requirements:

• A Degree and/or Diploma in Computer Science or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within related field
• Proven experience configuring and administering Microsoft Windows Server
• Experience working with command line tools
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
• Experience writing scripts using bash / python / PowerShell
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V or any other virtualisation platform
• Proficient knowledge on software QA methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work on own initiative
