GCS Recruitment are searching for a Software Developer specialised in Java to work with one of the leading software companies in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test and implement new software programs
• Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status

Requirements:

• A minimum of a qualification in Information Technology or Business and Computing
• Knowledge and experience in technologies including .Net, or Java
• Being well versed in the following languages: Spring Framework: Spring Core, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Boot, Java8, specifically the Stream APIand lambda expressions, JPA, particularly Hibernate, Junit and test-driven design, Maven, Git and SQL
• As well as strong knowledge regarding the following: Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Deployment on both Windows and Unix/ Linux, Liquibase, Docker, Front-end JavaScript framework/library, such as Angular or React, examples of code on Github, or some other portfolio, domain-driven design
• Ability to work in a fast–paced environment
• Strong creativity skills
• Ability to work on own initiative, as well as within a team
• Highly analytical with the ability to problem-solve
• Strong attention to detail and eager to learn new technologies
