General Job Purpose Overview

The Team Leader Travel Design & Reservations works closely with the Department Head and the Travel Design & Reservations team dedicated to Indian and Middle East markets. The Team Leader gives guidance to the team and helps in problem solving. In addition, the Team Leader assists our clients (tour operators or travel agents) from specific markets in making travel arrangements for either business or holiday purposes (Individual Travelers or Group Travelers, group series or tailor-made itineraries). The Team Leader provides quotes to find the best value options available based on client’s preferences and then makes bookings for airfare, accommodation (villa, resort or hotels), sightseeing, activities, signature experiences and other travel related activities our client may need.

 

Key areas of accountability and responsibility

  • Grow revenue for Panorama Destination
  • Daily email correspondence with clients and suppliers (12 to 24 hours reply policy)
  • Assisting the Department Head and the team to create Thai travel itineraries and quotations for groups, FIT, Incentive, Famtrips and making bookings for hotels, resorts, villas, air tickets based on clients’ preferences and budget guidelines
  • Always trying to upsell additional products and follow up on existing quotes and inquires with Travel Agents
  • Create and monitor bookings and their components in Tourplan (back office system)
  • Issue invoices from Tourplan and coordinate with the Finance and Accounting Department regarding payment
  • Issue travel documents such as vouchers and itineraries for suppliers and clients
  • Coordinate and supervise logistics with our operations & logistics department and branches throughout Thailand to ensure a smooth operation
  • Negotiate hotel contract rates and allocations on behalf of company as needed and as instructed
  • Assist with and recommend new product developments
  • Conduct site and hotels inspections to ensure continuous product knowledge within Thailand
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationship with suppliers (hotels, resorts, villas etc.) and clients (travel agents and tour operators)
  • General administration tasks
  • Other tasks as assigned by the head of the department

 

Knowledge, skills and attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a travel & tourism company is an advantage
  • Excellent command of English both verbally and in writing is essential
  • Able to work in the requested time frame and meet tight deadlines
  • Enjoy working with people
  • A strong focus on customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • This position is open to Thai nationals only
