Travel Manager – Global Corporation – Up to circa £50k + bonus/benefits – London Hybrid. A fantastic opportunity to join this global organisation who are a leader in their field with approximately 500 staff across 20 countries and a travel budget of approximately £10m per annum. We are seeking an individual with experience working within an in-house travel management team of a similar size business.
Travel Manager Responsibilities
- Providing leadership to one other team member within the in-house travel management team
- Managing the TMC and supplier (travel provider) relations
- Responsible for booking and coordinating all aspect of business travel for, flights, accommodation, ground transportation including assistance with visa travel applications etc
- Being main point of contact for employees for any travel requirements
- Management of Flight cancellations, travel disruptions and any last-minute adjustments
- Keeping track and recording all travel bookings and expenses
- Keeping up to date on latest changes and practices within travel management processes
- Communicate relevant travel policies and procedures to the business
- Being proactive and working on reducing costs on travel where possible
- Collaborate and Liaising with global travel providers
Travel Manager Skills Required:
- Experience working within an in-house travel management team (as opposed to purely TMC experience)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Skills, Microsoft Word
- Knowledge or experience in using SAP, Concur or Galileo preferred but not essential
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, being proactive and have can- do attitude
- In-depth understanding of travel management principles, including booking procedures, reservation systems, and travel logistics
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Outstanding organisational, planning and research skills
- Quick problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations
- Willingness to handle situations (such as flight cancellations) outside of core business hours
Travel Manager Additional Details:
- Basic Salary up to circa £50,000 per annum depending on experience
- Bonus linked to company and individual performance
- Pension contributions up to 5% from the employer
- Private Medical and Life Assurance
- Hybrid working- 3 days in their Central London office with the option to work remotely 2 days a week
