Kempinski has unveiled its first branded spa concept in China.
Located at the Kempinski Hotel Chongqing, the new Kempinski The Spa Chongqing has been developed in partnership with Resense Spa and aims to offer a “luxury European spa concept” in the central Chinese city.
Covering 2,100m² on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel, Kempinski The Spa Chongqing features nine treatment rooms including a double spa suite. It will offer a range of Chinese and European treatments, including five facials, four full-body treatments and seven massage therapies.
“We are very happy to join the Kempinski The Spa family,” said the hotel’s spa manager, Jason Zeng. “Our European values will be highlighted to an even greater extent, which fully reflects the core philosophy of our hotel brand. Our highly-trained therapists are delighted to deliver bespoke spa experiences to our guests.”
As well as the spa facilities, the new wellness centre will include a gym, yoga room, heated pool, children’s pool, steam room, Finnish sauna and a relaxation area with a tea and juice bar.
Kempinski currently operates 18 hotels in China, while the Resence-backed spas are now present at 18 hotels in 16 countries.
