MSC Cruises is to screen London 2012 games live onboard its ships this summer.
More than 2,000 hours of games action is expected to be shown on the cruise line’s private areas and cabins from 27 July to 12 August. Onboard entertainment during the games will also be Olympic themed with a parade celebrating the different nationalities taking place on every cruise and national anthems played around the pool in a ceremony.
Competition will also spread into the ship’s own activities, with football, ping pong, darts and shuffleboard tournaments organised and medals to be handed out.
Cocktails have also been renamed and matched with different events, so guests can enjoy the “Muhammad Ali” Strawberry Daiquiri during the boxing, the “Kung Fu Panda” Negroni during the wrestling, or the “Tour de France” Aperol Spritz during the cycling, amongst many.
