Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has successfully completed the installation of Starlink's high-speed WiFi across its entire Airbus A320neo fleet in just six months. This development means that all 81 A320neo aircraft are now equipped with the service, providing passengers with enhanced connectivity on a significant share of SAS's European flights. EuroBonus members can access the service free of charge, allowing them to work, stream, or browse the internet during their journey.

The rapid installation, which began in March, aligns with SAS's ambition to bring high-speed connectivity to as many customers as possible.

Paul Verhagen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, stated, “Today, the installation across our entire A320neo fleet is complete, in record time. Bringing high-speed connectivity to these aircraft means many of our customers can enjoy a better-connected journey."

The A320neo fleet, representing around 70% of SAS's total fleet, is crucial to its European network, operating a large share of flights across Scandinavia and Europe. The completion of this rollout marks the A320neo as the first aircraft type in the SAS fleet to be fully equipped with Starlink.

SAS is now preparing for the next phase of its Starlink rollout, with further installations planned for other aircraft types before the end of the year. This initiative coincides with SAS's 80th anniversary, highlighting its ongoing commitment to innovation and improved passenger experience. Starlink utilises low-Earth-orbit satellites to deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity, enhancing the in-flight experience for SAS passengers.
