Saudi Arabia has reinforced its ambition to become one of the world's most attractive tourism investment destinations with the launch of a new report highlighting the Kingdom's rapid hospitality growth and expanding opportunities for global investors. During the Future Hospitality Summit Saudi Arabia 2026 this week, the Saudi Ministry of Tourism unveiled the Global Investment in Saudi Tourism Report, offering fresh insight into the country's evolving tourism landscape and the growing confidence of international hospitality brands.

The launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues one of the world's largest tourism transformations, backed by billions of dollars in investments, major destination developments, and ambitious targets under Vision 2030.

Saudi's tourism investment story

Participating as the strategic enabler of the summit, the Ministry used the event to showcase investment opportunities spanning luxury hospitality, cultural tourism, adventure travel, entertainment, and destination development.

The newly launched report highlights key growth indicators across the sector, including the continued expansion of international hotel brands, increasing private-sector participation, and the Kingdom's growing appeal as a long-term tourism investment destination. The announcement reflects Saudi Arabia's wider strategy of attracting international capital while creating an investment ecosystem designed to simplify market entry and accelerate project delivery.

Beyond giga-projects

Speaking during the summit, Mahmoud Abdulhadi said Saudi Arabia offers investors access to a tourism market that is already demonstrating significant scale and sustained growth. He emphasised that the Kingdom's tourism ambitions extend far beyond its globally recognised giga-projects, pointing to a diverse portfolio of destinations and experiences spread across the country. During a fireside discussion on the future of tourism investment, Abdulhadi encouraged investors to view Saudi Arabia as an integrated tourism ecosystem, where opportunities exist not only in hotels and infrastructure but also across visitor experiences, attractions, technology, and tourism services.

Building an investor-friendly ecosystem

Alongside the report, the Ministry highlighted a range of initiatives designed to make investment easier and more attractive. These include the Tourism Investment Enablers Programme (TIEP) and the Hospitality Investment Enablers (HIE) initiative, both created to streamline investment processes, improve market access, and support developers throughout project delivery.

The programmes form part of broader government efforts to reduce barriers to investment while encouraging greater participation from both domestic and international investors.

Hospitality growth gathers pace

The Future Hospitality Summit has become one of the Kingdom's leading platforms for announcing new tourism investments, partnerships, and hospitality developments. Saudi Arabia is currently one of the world's fastest-growing hotel development markets, with hundreds of properties under construction and thousands of new rooms expected to enter the market over the coming years.

Driven by rising visitor numbers, expanding air connectivity, and landmark tourism projects, the Kingdom is increasingly attracting some of the world's largest hotel operators, investors, and tourism companies. As Saudi Arabia works towards its Vision 2030 goal of welcoming 150 million visitors annually, investment forums such as FHS are becoming an important showcase for demonstrating the scale of opportunity available across the country's rapidly evolving tourism economy.
