As India’s leading carrier, we remain committed to delivering on our promise of providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences.” Kozhikode, formerly known as Calicut, is a vibrant city in the southern state of Kerala. Famous for its historical significance, beautiful beaches, and delectable cuisine, the coastal city offers a unique blend of cultural richness and natural beauty. It was a significant spice trade center and is close to Kappad Beach, where Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed in 1498. Some top tourist attractions in Kozhikode are the peaceful backwaters, Kozhippara falls, Thusharagiri waterfalls, Beypore, and Kakkayam. Kochi, also referred to as Cochin, is an enchanting city situated on the southwest coast of India in Kerala. Popularly known as ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, it is a flourishing port city that offers a rich blend of mesmerising natural beauty and vibrant culture. Serving as Kerala’s commercial, industrial, and financial capital, it is the crowning jewel of the state’s tourism landscape. With gorgeous beaches, a far-reaching shoreline and breathtaking backwaters, expansive tea plantations, numerous spice estates, lush greenery, striking architecture, and ancient temples, it serves as an exceptional holiday destination for travellers with diverse tastes and interests. Known for its stunning beaches, Agatti island is a 6 km long land terrain blessed with aquatic diversity. Home to the archipelago's only airstrip, it connects Lakshadweep to the rest of India and the world. Agatti is popular amongst those looking for a bit of deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing, skiing, and kayaking. The island also serves as an ideal base for exploring the uninhabited and serene isles of Bangaram, Pitti, Thinnakara, Parali-I and Parali-II, which lie in close proximity. Gulf Air makes new changes for flights to India

Gulf Air (GF), the national carrier of Bahrain, continues refining its India flight network. The airline will have notable adjustments now coming in for the summer 2025 season. Gulf Air had made major adjustments to its India network in the winter 2024 season as well. Further, the airline will make more modifications, including reductions on select routes and expansions on others. As informed by a news report in Aviation A2Z. Gulf Air India flight adjustments These further adjustments show Gulf Air’s efforts to optimize its operations and better align with passenger demand across its key markets in India. The changes are coming to the South-Indian cities. As per The Indian Aviation Guy on Twitter (X), Gulf Air (GF) will make changes in its network from four Indian cities. Two of these cities will see reductions in the flights operated by Gulf Air (GF). The airline will end up flying to the city along the Malabar coast in the state of Kerela – Kozhikode, also known as Calicut. The last flight is set to fly out of Kozhikode (CCJ) on 28th March 2025. Gulf Air (GF) currently operates 4 times a week flights and competes with Air India Express (AIX). Air India Express (AIX) also operates 4 times a week flights in the sector. Kerela is traditionally believed to have a high demand to the Gulf region. This move by the airline is rather shocking. However, there is no clear reason as to why the airline is ending its operations to Kozhikode (CCJ). Maybe, Gulf Air (GF) is not able to compete with Air India Express (AIX) in the sector. Bengaluru (BLR): Bengaluru (BLR) will see the largest capacity addition by Gulf Air (GF) in the summer season of 2025. The airline plans to double its presence in Bengaluru (BLR). Reportedly, Gulf Air (GF) has opened bookings for a 2nd flight which will be operating 7 times a week. The airline currently operates flights to Bengaluru (BLR) 7 times a week. With the introduction of this new flight, the airline will have double capacity to the city. The airline a few weeks ago had planned to reduce the frequency to Bengaluru (BLR) to 6x weekly. However, it seems that the airline was in the process of updating the GDS (Global Distribution System). Gulf Air now plans to fly 2 times a day starting from 31st March 2025. Goa Dabolim (GOI): Gulf Air (GF) will increase the flights to 7 times a week. The airline flies 4 times a week in the sector now. The introduction of daily flights reflects the strong and growing travel demand to Goa. There is no other airline operating in the sector. Kochi (COK): Gulf Air will reduce the flight frequency to 3x weekly starting from 6th April 2025. The airline operates 4x weekly flights now with Airbus A320 aircraft. Gulf Air competes with Air India Express (AIX) in the sector. Air India Express (AIX) flies 6 times a week between Kochi (COK) and Bahrain (BAH).

Earlier in the year, Etihad became the Official Sponsor of the Chennai Super Kings one of the leading teams in the Indian Premier League. Etihad brought the partnership to life with activations at every match including gifting fans with yellow aircraft shaped whistles to cheer on their team, as well as featuring the legendary player MS Dhoni in its TV advertising. And in celebration of its 20th anniversary this month, Etihad announced it will be the Official Front of Shirt sponsor for Mumbai City FC, one of the top-performing professional football teams in India having won two Indian Super League titles and two Indian Super League Cups. Beyond sport, Etihad brought on board Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif as a brand ambassador. Appearing in several of the airline’s advertisements showcasing Etihad’s remarkable guest experience, much-loved Katrina’s experience on Etihad was enjoyed by millions of viewers worldwide.  Local flavours This summer, Etihad also commenced local catering for flights departing from India, offering fresh, regionally curated cuisine on board. Through collaborations with local chefs and caterers in each of Etihad’s 11 Indian destinations, Etihad now offers regionalised menus, local delicacies and the freshest ingredients to guests departing from India. Guests departing Delhi will enjoy cuisine reflecting the country's gastronomic heritage with a delightful blend of Mughlai, Punjabi, and street food influences. From Mumbai, guests will enjoy a touch of Maharashtrian cuisine, known for its bold flavours and extensive use of spices. Guests flying from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and destinations across Kerala will similarly find a local twist in their menus. As well as setting Etihad apart in its culinary standards, this also demonstrates Etihad’s commitment to the markets it serves, by choosing local suppliers and producers which support job creation and the local economy. A tailored offering for travellers from India In its sincere commitment to the Indian market, Etihad recently became the first foreign carrier to launch a Hindi language website, making the booking experience more accessible for its guests. On board, Etihad’s guests are treated to a wide range of multi-language programming including the latest Bollywood blockbusters, box sets and music videos. Indian movies can be enjoyed in a selection of languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Telegu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi.  Etihad employees Etihad employs more than 10,000 employees of 140 nationalities based in Abu Dhabi and its global offices.
