Singapore Airlines Group has announced intentions to restart flights and boost service across its network in the following weeks, following the recent relaxation of entry requirements in major travel hubs such as Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Singapore Airlines and budget airline Scoot will increase capacity, with the latter moving to three daily flights to Seoul beginning on 30 October and Scoot returning to five weekly flights starting on the same date.
Scoot will also increase the frequency of flights to South Korea’s Jeju to five times weekly, up from the current thrice-weekly service, beginning on 5 November, while Singapore Airlines will add an extra daily service to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport starting on 30 October, complementing existing daily services to Haneda and Narita.
Singapore Airlines will now offer four daily services into Tokyo, with flights to Osaka increasing from once to twice daily from 30 October. Scoot flights to Fukuoka, Japan, will be increased to three per week, while flights to Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei and Osaka will be increased to daily.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines services to Taiwan will be restarted as a four-times-week route, while services to Hong Kong will be reduced to three times daily, subject to regulatory approval.
