TAT launches Thai food festival
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has teamed up with Visa to launch the country’s second annual nationwide food festival – ‘Thailand Splash and Spice 2013’.
This year’s three-month campaign, which runs from now until 31 May, widens the festivities from Bangkok to include Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Phuket.
“This exciting campaign… will showcase Thai food at its best to a worldwide audience,” said TAT governor, Surapol Svetasreni. “The variety and unique flavours of Thai food has won fans from around the world and is one of the great draws of foreign tourists to Thailand. This dining extravaganza will also showcase great reasons to visit Thailand during the traditional low season.”
More than 50 Thai hotels, along with a wide range of restaurants and shopping malls, are participating in Thailand Splash and Spice 2013, offering a series of packages and promotions across the four destinations. In addition, more than 30 dining outlets at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport will also offer discounts.
