Travelex, a leading foreign exchange company in New Zealand, has announced a new partnership with TSB Bank, allowing TSB customers to benefit from discounted travel money. This collaboration enables customers to acquire foreign currency at preferential rates via Travelex’s website or in-person at any of its 28 stores across New Zealand, by presenting a valid TSB card or bank statement.

The partnership offers discounted rates for both cash purchases and currency loaded onto the Travelex Money Card (TMC), with over 50 currencies available in cash and nine on the TMC. This initiative follows similar partnerships Travelex has established with other New Zealand banks, enhancing access to travel money services nationwide.

Asokan Sathurayar, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Travelex, stated, “Convenience is a core part of our mission at Travelex, helping travellers access foreign exchange services wherever and whenever suits them. Partnering with TSB not only offers seamless access to foreign currency at a preferential rate but also supports those customers who may otherwise struggle to access travel money services in regional locations.”

Penny Burgess, General Manager Customer Delivery at TSB, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We’re thrilled to partner with Travelex to offer our customers better value when heading overseas. Together we can deliver trusted, affordable travel money options to customers nationwide.”

In addition to the partnership, Travelex will open a new store at New Plymouth House of Travel on 12 May 2026, expanding its presence in key locations such as Nelson, Hamilton, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch Airport, and Queenstown Airport
