Turkish Airlines has achieved a milestone by carrying 7.9 million passengers in May 2026, marking the highest passenger traffic for May in the airline's history. The airline also reported an 84.0% load factor, alongside a significant increase in cargo operations, with cargo and mail volumes rising by 8.6% compared to the previous year.

The airline's available seat kilometres (ASK) increased by 2.5% to 23.2 billion in May 2026, up from 22.6 billion in May 2025. This growth reflects Turkish Airlines' expanding capacity and reach. The ASK for this period rose by 6.5% to 112.1 billion from 105.3 billion in 2025.

Cargo and mail operations also saw robust growth, with a 13.5% increase in volume, totalling 954.6 thousand tonnes from January to May 2026. By the end of May, the airline's fleet comprised 542 aircraft.
