The introduction of this route aims to enhance connectivity between Vietnam and the European Union, providing access to over 20 countries within Vietjet's network of 186 routes. To celebrate the launch, promotional fares are available, with Deluxe fares starting at US$459, including additional baggage, meals, and flexible flight changes.
Nguyen Thanh Son, CEO of Vietjet, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion, stating, “With a new-generation fleet, modern technology, and a continuously expanding network, Vietjet will soon operate many more routes to Europe.” This move is expected to boost tourism, economic, and cultural exchanges between the two regions.
Jiří Pos, CEO of Prague Airport, noted the significance of the Vietnamese market, with over 75,000 people travelling between Prague and Hanoi in 2025. The new route is anticipated to facilitate travel for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic and enhance trade relations.
The route is also expected to support tourism and trade, with František Reismüller, CEO of CzechTourism, emphasising its potential to increase inbound tourism to the Czech Republic. Passengers will enjoy a diverse travel experience, with Vietjet offering a menu of Vietnamese and international cuisine on board
