Miraval Resorts has launched its first international wellness retreat, Miraval The Red Sea, on Shura Island, Saudi Arabia. Opening on 15 May, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort introduces 180 rooms, suites, and villas, marking a significant expansion for the American brand known for its mindfulness and wellness philosophy.

The resort, powered entirely by renewable energy, aligns with Red Sea Global's commitment to sustainable tourism. It features the largest spa on Shura Island, a 3,000 sqm facility with 39 treatment rooms, and offers a range of wellness activities, including yoga, meditation, and creative expression. John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, stated, “Welcoming Miraval Resorts & Spas, a globally respected wellness brand, to the destination reflects ongoing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s tourism offering.”

The opening comes as The Red Sea destination experiences high demand, with occupancy reaching 82% during the final days of Ramadan. Anticipating increased visitors for Eid Al-Adha, Red Sea International Airport has added 32 flights to accommodate the influx. The destination is also hosting a curated programme of dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences.

Miraval The Red Sea is part of a broader expansion on Shura Island, which will soon include the Four Seasons Resort and Residences, opening on 20 May. The Red Sea now boasts 11 hotels, with six more set to open in the coming months, further enhancing its luxury tourism offerings
